Boise, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - Just before midnight a Boise Cab Driver told police that he had been robbed and his cab stolen. What followed was something right out of the movies and two hours later early this Thursday morning two men were in custody.

The victim said he picked up two men that turned suspects at a business in the 1300 block of North Milwaukee street about 11:30pm. He said the suspects pulled a gun and took his wallet, then told him to drive to Kuna where he was let out of the vehicle. The suspects then took off with the cab.

At 12:15am, officers spotted the stolen cab in Downtown Boise being driven by the suspects. The suspects refused to stop and a pursuit began on South 9th at West River Street.
During the chase, the suspects rammed several police vehicles as then headed south on 9th street.
The suspects rammed several police vehicles as they headed south on 9th Street. The suspect vehicle rammed two patrol cars head-on and backed into a third patrol car. The pursuit continued for less than one mile south on 9th. Officers were able to box in and stop the suspects on South Capitol Blvd near the train depot at approximately 12:20 a.m.
3 Boise Police patrol cars received significant damage as did the stolen cab. A fourth BPD patrol car was also involved and received less severe damage.
