Two People Charged With Taxi Cab Theft In Boise
BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Two Boise men have been booked into the Ada County jail after they allegedly stole a cab after a night of drinking, officials say.
Boise PD says officers received a report of a stolen taxi cab Sunday morning at about 3 a.m. The owner of the cab said he left the vehicle running at the curb when he went into a business to collect a previous customer's fair.
Witnesses say two suspects, who appeared to be drunk, got into the cab and drove away. Officers later found the taxi cab near Interstate-84 and Overland Road.
Authorities say the driver, James Teget, 21, who appeared to be drunk, failed several field sobriety tests. The passenger, 21-year-old Jeremy Laughran, was also taken into custody. The two have been booked on felony grand theft. Teget was also charged with DUI and driving without privileges.
