Seattle, Washington (CNN) In Seattle, a prayer vigil was held for the students of Seattle Pacific University following Thursday’s campus shooting.

Hundreds of students, staff and faculty attended the service.

Police say 26-year-old Aaron Ybarra killed one student and wounded others before a student security guard, armed with pepper spray, tackled him.

Once on the ground, other students jumped in to subdue the shooter.

The service held at First Free Methodist Church was described as a time for prayer, lament and worship.
