WA Legislator Wants Teachers Armed
Camas, Washington (KPTV) A newly–elected washington state lawmaker thinks Washington's schools would be safer if teachers had guns.
Liz Pike, Republican representative–elect from District 18, announced she might draft a bill that would allow teachers to take guns into the classroom after they complete a safety course. "The number one concern for me is public safety in our schools. I don't want our children to be sitting ducks, I don't want our teachers to be sitting ducks. And I want to hear any and all ideas," adds Pike. The controversial idea isn't sitting well with everyone and will be the topic of discussion in the days ahead. Comments ( |
