Kansas City, Kansas (CNN) - The tallest water slide in the world opened this Thursday in Kansas City.

The 17-story "Verruckt" in Kansas City is even taller than Niagara Falls.

"Verruckt," by the way, means "insane in German.

The slide is just over 168-feet tall and riders will have to climb 264 steps to get to the top.

The ride can reach speeds of up to 65 miles-per-hour.

The official launch date of the water slide was delayed three times as it underwent more testing.
