A Nampa man sought by police for allegedly sexually abusing a minor has surrendered to authorities. Police in Nampa say 43-year-old James Luna turned himself into the Canyon County Detention Center early Sunday morning and is being held on a $250,000 bond.

Luna was indicted last week on a charge of lewd conduct with a
minor. He is accused of sexually abusing the girl over a five-year
period. Authorities had been looking for Luna for several days before he agreed to turn himself in.

James Luna is the brother of Tom Luna, Idaho's Superintendent
for Public Instruction. Tom Luna has made no comment on the case. James Luna is scheduled to be arraigned Monday.
