According to the latest census figures, Idaho is the fourth fastest-growing state in the nation.
Neighboring Nevada is growing at just over 4% each year, and tops the list of fastest-growing states for the 18th year in a row; Utah ranks 7th.
The US census figures were gathered between July 1st, 2003 and July 1st, 2004.
Those figures show that the Gem State's population grew by 26,000 people, and now totals almost 1.4 million residents.
Nationwide, the population increased by 3 million people, for a total US population of almost 294 million.
