More web cam's on state highways
LEWISTON, Idaho (AP) _ The Idaho Department of Transportation
plans to put up more Webcams on the state's highways.
The department currently has about 40 Webcams. Department spokesman Mel Coulter says the state has been aggressively adding more and predicts most of the state's highways will have cameras by mid- to late 2008.
The department makes the updated images available on its Web
site, and also lists travel information such as construction delays
and icy roads.
Coulter says motorists planning a trip can read about the
conditions and also use the Webcams to see whether roads are clear
or covered with snow and slush.
