MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) _ The University of Idaho has appointed Lloyd
Mues to a permanent position as vice president for finance and
administration.

Mues has served on an interim basis for two years.

He is the third UI administrator to fill the position since
2005. Three years ago Jay Kenton left the job after just nine
months to join the Oregon University system.

Then Nancy Dunn stepped away because of a serious illness.

University of Idaho president Tim White says he appointed Mues
to the permanent position based on performance reviews conducted
earlier this year.

Mues is among administrators who have spent years recovering the
university from budget cuts, faculty turnover and a financial
scandal stemming from a failed university expansion project in
Boise.
