STAR, Idaho (AP) _ Rep. Mike Moyle, the Idaho House majority
leader, is facing a write-in Republican primary challenge from
former Eagle Mayor Nancy Merrill.

Merrill, who earlier declined to run against Moyle, now says
she's in the race because her rival is out of step with their
increasingly suburban district west of Boise.

Moyle, a Republican from Star, calls Merrill disingenuous. She
told him she wouldn't run, but changed her mind.

He told the Idaho Statesman, ``When somebody lies to me, I get
mad.''

Chief among disagreements between the two are southwestern Idaho
transportation issues. Merrill blames Moyle for stalling those
efforts in the 2008 Legislature.

She says Moyle is causing the most trouble in the Legislature _
and needs to be removed.
