Idaho Speaker of the House Questions Wal-Mart Health Care Practices
We don't know if he shops there but Idaho Speaker of the House Bruce Newcomb definitely has an opinion of retail giant Wal-Mart.
The Burley republican says one of his top priorities is targeting low wage employers in Idaho such as Wal?Mart whose workers wind up getting health care at public expense.
Newcomb says that by setting up big stores in small Idaho towns Wal?Mart is, "?eating everyone else alive."
Newcomb has asked the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare to document how many Wal?Mart employees have dependents receiving state assistance, compared to workers at competitors like Albertson's, Fred Meyer and Smith's.
