BOISE, Idaho (AP) _ A southeastern Idaho company is thinking
about expanding programs that allow employees to work from home in
an attempt to ease the impact of escalating gas prices.

Idaho's average gas price hit the $4-per-gallon mark last month.

The Pocatello call center, Convergys, initiated a pilot program
two years ago allowing employees to work from home and the program
now includes about 130 employees.

Recruiter Marie Austin says rising fuel costs have the company
considering whether to create 100 more work-at-home positions.

County commissioners in southern Idaho have also been thinking
of ways to lessen the burden of gas costs, ideas that include a
four-day work week.
