ROSSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) _ The pilot of a small, rental plane that
crashed near Memphis over the weekend has been identified as a
FedEx flier from Boise, Idaho.

Authorities say 48-year-old Ward Severts rented the
single-engine plane at the Olive Branch, Miss., airport. The plane
crashed Saturday in a remote area of Fayette County about 40 miles
east of Memphis.

Investigators with the National Transportation Safety Board were
at the scene of the crash on Sunday. The cause of the crash has not
been determined.

Severts, a FedEx cargo plane co-pilot, worked out of Memphis but
his primary residence was in Boise.
