Low Income Families to Recieve Assistance for Heating Bills.
Families who can't afford to pay their heating bills will get some help with a bill passed by the Idaho legislature.
The bill gives $3.7 million from the state's general fund to low-income families to pay heating bills.
Current state law prohibits fuel suppliers from shutting off the heat during winter months, but that ended on March 1.
The Community Action Partnership of Idaho says the bill will help about 800 people stay warm through spring months when temperatures are still chilly.
