Adamson Owes Thousands in Property Taxes

Associated Press

By Kim Bartlett

County records show that several assisted living businesses run by gubernatorial candidate Dan Adamson owe more than $100,000 in delinquent property taxes.

Adamson is one of four Republican candidates running for the governor's seat.

He's also the chairman and CEO of Northwest Bec-Corp Management Group, a company that owns 20 assisted living centers and other health care businesses in Idaho, Oregon and
California.

After calling the county treasurer offices overseeing each of the Idaho locations, The Associated Press learned that six of the Idaho centers are delinquent on their property taxes.

The businesses owe a total of more than $111,000.

Adamson says his business runs on a very tight profit margin of less than one percent profit and though the property taxes may get paid late, they always get paid.
