3 killed, 1 critically injured in crash near Parma


PARMA, Idaho (AP) _ The Idaho State Police says a car carrying
four people collided with a pickup truck hauling a horse near
Parma, killing three people in the car and critically injuring a
The crash happened just before 11:30 p.m. Thursday at the
intersection of U.S. Highways 20 and 95 north of Parma.
The ISP says 16-year-old Sloane Weldon of Weiser failed to stop
at a stop sign and pulled into the path of the pickup. The pickup
hit the driver's side of Weldon's car, killing her and two
passengers, Rebecca and Elizabeth Cole. Another passenger, Benson
Richardson, was hospitalized in Boise in critical condition.
Two children in the pickup truck were taken to the hospital as a
precaution, but have been released.
