LEWISTON, Idaho (AP) _ The Idaho attorney general's office is
still looking into possible misconduct by former Nez Perce County
Sheriff Jim Dorion.

A spokesman for Attorney General Lawrence Wasden confirmed the
investigation is ``still ongoing,'' the Lewiston Tribune reported.

The state was asked to look into Dorion's conduct after Nez
Perce County Prosecutor Dan Spickler disqualified himself because
of a conflict of interest.

Dorion had originally been placed on a 90-day paid medical leave
May 1 after the former sheriff told Nez Perce County commissioners
he'd been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

Dorion was removed from office Aug. 25 because he was no longer
a Nez Perce County resident. His removal came after efforts by
commissioners to contact Dorion were unsuccessful.
