60 year old dies in N. Idaho triathlon

HAYDEN, Idaho (AP) _ A 60-year-old northern Idaho man died after
competing in a triathlon over the weekend.

Leslie Chariton, of Coeur d'Alene, was completing the swim
portion of the third annual Hayden View Triathlon on Saturday when
he suffered an apparent heart attack and later died.

Chariton was pulled from the water. CPR was performed but he was
pronounced dead after being taken to Kootenai Medical Center.

The race consisted of a half-mile swim, a 10.2-mile bike course,
and 3.7-mile run.
