Warm Weather Could Affect Area Growers and Gardeners

The weather has been pleasant for Magic Valley residents but the sun and warmth can be costly for area growers and gardeners.
With the unusually warm weather plants and flowers begin to bloom sooner.
But area ecologists are concerned that a return of winter weather could destroy some seasonal crops.
University of Idaho Extension Horticultural Educator JoAnn Robbins says many growers could be affected, “The daffodils are fine because they can take the cold weather, but the earliness of all this is a concern."
Robbins says it’s important to be patient with your garden and wait a few more weeks for the weather to settle down.
