BONNERS FERRY, Idaho (AP) _ Officials say a northern Idaho man
died Wednesday after jumping from a moving freight train on which
he had illegally hitched a ride.

Boundary County Sheriff's officials say the body of 25-year-old
Dustin Dodge was found alongside the railroad tracks south of
Bonners Ferry after being spotted by railroad workers.

Officials tell the Bonner County Daily Bee that Dodge and
another man got on the train in Naples but it kept going at where
they wanted to get off.

Officials say the train was going about 40 or 45 mph when the
two men jumped, and that Dodge died at the scene due to injuries
sustained when he hit the ground.

Officials say they located the other man at a home with injuries
that weren't life-threatening. He did not seek medical treatment
and officials say no criminal charges are planned.
