Ada County prosecutors say two women accused of beating a man to death sent text messages to each other planning the crime.
Twenty-two-year-old Jennifer Mercado and 33-year-old Diana Fledderjohann are charged with first degree murder in the May Ninth death of Shawn Halcom.
Deputy Prosecutor Shawn Dunn told a magistrate judge that Mercado allegedly beat Halcom with a baseball bat and then both women allegedly stabbed him at a campsite in the Boise foothills.
A hiker discovered Halcom's body.
Both women are being held in the Ada County jail with no bond.
A preliminary hearing on the charges is set for May 29th.
