NAMPA, Idaho (AP) _ Administrators of the state's newest
community college plan to hold a faculty job fair as part of
efforts to hire a slew of temporary and part-time instructors.

The College of Western Idaho said earlier this month that rapid
growth in student enrollment had prompted the hiring of almost 100
new faculty members for the spring semester.

About 80 of these positions are part-time.

The Nampa-based school, which opened in January and fell short
of a projected enrollment of about 1,700 students, counted more
than 3,600 students this semester and 3,300 students are enrolled
for classes in the spring.

The college plans to host the faculty job fair on Thursday.
