Northern Idaho fire destroys home for family of 5

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho (AP) _ Officials say a family of five
managed to escape a fire that destroyed their Coeur d'Alene home.

Kootenai County Fire and Rescue spokesman Jim Lyon says the fire
Sunday morning appears to have started in the master bedroom, but
the cause has not yet been determined. The Coeur d'Alene Press
reports that Tamira Maciosek went to investigate a noise in the
bedroom when she saw flames and found her husband Jeremy on the
floor, coughing. She helped her husband and children escape the
home uninjured.

The family pets also made it out safely.
