Second arrest made in 2004 Idaho drive-by homicide




CALDWELL, Idaho (AP) _ A grand jury has indicted a Caldwell man
on a charge of first-degree murder in connection with a 2004
drive-by shooting.

The Idaho Press-Tribune reports that Michael Alfaro was indicted
Monday in connection with the death of 22-year-old Carlos Chavez.
Alfaro is scheduled for an arraignment on Jan. 22.

Last year, Arandu Maceda Chavez was also charged with
first-degree murder for the shooting death. Chavez' trial is set to
begin Jan. 25.

Caldwell Police Department officers found Carlos Chavez with a
gunshot wound at a Caldwell home on Aug. 14, 2004. He was
transported to a Boise hospital and died from his injuries two
weeks later.
