Judge upholds earlier ruling on UI retirees

MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) _ A judge in northern Idaho has upheld his
earlier decision to throw out a lawsuit brought by 268 former
University of Idaho employees who claimed their early retirement
benefits were unfairly reduced.
Second District Judge John R. Stegner on Thursday ruled that the
summary judgment decision he made in November against the UI
retirees will stand.
In a written ruling, Stegner says the retirees failed to bring
forward any new evidence to influence the court.
