Idaho woman to face embezzlement case this month




RIGBY, Idaho (AP) _ A Rigby woman accused of stealing nearly
$400,000 from her employer has waived a preliminary hearing and
will face the charge in district court this month.

Forty-four-year-old Kimberly A. Lords was set for a Tuesday
preliminary hearing on two charges of felony grand theft and two
charges of felony forgery. But the Post Register reports she opted
the waive the proceeding, and will instead be arraigned in district

Prosecutors say Lords embezzled money and forged hundreds of
checks from Golden West Irrigation and Equipment Co. in Idaho Falls
starting in 2005.

If convicted, she faces up to 14 years in prison for each count.
