IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) _ Police say an officer was shot at
several times during a routine traffic stop in Idaho Falls but
wasn't hurt and the alleged shooters are in jail.
Senior Patrolman Steve Polter stopped the driver Thursday night
for driving erratically and the one of the two people in the car
allegedly shot several times through the window, but the bullets
whizzed over the top of the officer's car.
Police eventually stopped the car and took the man driving and a
woman passenger into custody.
Police have not yet released the names of the suspects.
