BOISE, Idaho (AP) _ A Boise woman has been charged with felony
possession of a controlled substance after failing in an apparent
attempt to mail some cocaine to herself.

Police say 48-year-old Joanne E. Taylor was arrested Saturday.
Ada County jail records show she posted bail and was released, the
Idaho Statesman reported.

Police say Taylor addressed the envelope to herself, and used
the address of a downtown business as a return address. The letter
did not reach Taylor for some reason, and was returned to the
sending address.

Employees opened the letter on March 12 and called police to
report a small amount of white powder was wrapped up in a piece of
paper in the envelope. Prosecutors say the envelope contained 3.1
grams of cocaine. Police do not know why she used the return
address she did.
