BOISE, Idaho (AP) _ An official with the Boise County sheriff's
office says the drowning of an 18-month-old girl in the Payette
River was an accident and her parents will not face any charges.
Chief Deputy Dale Rogers says the sheriff's office received a
call that the toddler had wandered away from a Horseshoe Bend home
and was missing just after 4 p.m. Wednesday.
A Fish and Game officer spotted the girl's body floating in a
diversion canal about 4 miles away from the home at 7:37 p.m.
Rogers says an autopsy confirmed there was no evidence of foul play
in the death of Chianne Self.
