Police trickery helps nab N. Idaho man after chase

POST FALLS, Idaho (AP) _ A northern Idaho man who police say
raced away in a vehicle with two passengers and then eluded police
during a foot chase when the trio scattered couldn't outrun a bit
of law enforcement subterfuge.

Post Falls Police say 41-year-old Christopher Charles Zeigen of
Rathdrum called one of the passengers after getting away, but an
officer who had captured the passenger answered the phone
pretending to be the passenger and discussed where to meet up.

Zeigen was taken into custody a short time later on Thursday
after attempting to flee first on a bike and then on foot.

Zeigen faces charges of felony eluding and driving with a
suspended license.
