E. Idaho man drowns at Upper Mesa Falls

ASHTON, Idaho (AP) _ The Fremont County Sheriff's office says an
eastern Idaho man has drowned at Upper Mesa Falls on the Henrys
Fork of the Snake River.

Officials say they recovered the body of Tim Laux of Ashton on
Monday about half a mile below the falls and that the death has
been ruled an accidental drowning.

The Fremont County Search and Rescue responded to the falls on
Monday after a report of a man in the water below the falls.

Crews found the body on a rock in the middle of the river.
Officials did not say how Laux ended up in the river.

Upper Mesa Falls has a drop of about 114 feet and is about 300
feet wide.
