Rexburg woman arrested on embezzlement charges



IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) _ Authorities say a Rexburg woman who
worked as a secretary for an attorney's office has embezzled more
than $105,000.

Rexburg Police Capt. Randy Lews says Jennifer Handy stole
$105,581 from January 2008 to April 19 of this year. She was
arrested Wednesday on four counts of grand theft and is being held
on $100,000 bond.

Lewis says the 31-year-old Handy on four occasions forged checks
from trust accounts held in banks and a credit card account.

Grand theft is punishable by 14 years in prison.
