Autopsy: Wife of Idaho lawmaker drowned in river

LEWISTON, Idaho (AP) _ A preliminary autopsy indicates the wife
of a state lawmaker drowned in the Payette River.
The body of 49-year-old Mary Jo Roberts, the wife of Republican
House Majority Caucus Chair Ken Roberts of Donnelly, was pulled
from the river Saturday. The Lewiston Tribune reports a preliminary
autopsy was completed Tuesday.
The woman was reported missing after she failed to show for work
last Friday. Her car was located near a bridge in McCall near a
bridge and her body was found the next day in a log jam about six
miles downstream from the central Idaho city.
Police are investigating the death.
