Coroner releases cause of death for twin infants
POCATELLO, Idaho (kIDK) -- Two three-week-old twins died as a result of accident suffocation, Bannock County coroner Kim Quick said Friday.
Gabriel R. and Tryce E. Medrano were found unconscious and not breathing in November after sleeping in bed with their mother. "I would like to caution those that sleep with their infants, that this is an unsafe practice", warns Coroner Quick. The twins' mother, Kiarra Kimbel, called police on Nov. 21 to the 600 block of Franklin Avenue, reporting that the children were not breathing. The twins were rushed to Portneuf Medical Center, Lt. Paul Manning said, where they were pronounced dead. Comments ( |
