Events Planned For Rupert Soldier Killed In Action
Boise, Idaho (KMVT-TV) The body of a Rupert native who died while serving in Afghanistan is scheduled to arrive on Monday.
Sgt. Chris Workman was killed along with three others in a helicopter rescue mission earlier this month. On Monday at Gowen Field, Sgt. Workman's remains will be transferred from the United States Army to the family. The flight is scheduled to arrive around three at Gowen Field. The ceremony is closed to the general public. His funeral is scheduled for Thursday in Eagle. And then locally the interment is planned for Friday at the Rupert cemetery, starting at three. This event is open to the public.
