KETCHUM, Idaho (AP) _ A Hailey-area man has pleaded guilty to
first-degree arson for setting fire to his house during a drunken
argument with his wife, causing an estimated $400,000 in damage.

43-year-old Patrick S. Busby pleaded guilty Monday in 5th District
Court. Prosecutors will recommend that Busby receive county jail
time and be placed on probation. Sentencing was set for Dec. 12.
Busby was arrested May 7. Blaine County investigators say he
used plastic gasoline containers to start a fire after threatening
to burn the house down.
Busby told District Judge Robert J. Elgee that he was blacked
out drunk at the time, but remembers throwing the cans of gas into
the rooms.
Defense attorney Keith Roark says his client has quit drinking
alcohol and is undergoing psychiatric counseling.
