Hepatitis A alert in Boise
BOISE, Idaho (KBOI-2) If you recently dined at the Boise Cheesecake Factory, you may have been exposed to Hepatitis A.
An employee who worked at the Cheesecake Factory was just diagnosed with the disease. The time frame was between December 13th and January 22nd. That means people who ate at the restaurant during that time could have also contracted the disease. The employee had Hepatitis A, but didn't realize it. Dave Fotsch, Central District Health Department says, "we're still within that window and unfortunately we're past the point where we can do any intervention, hep vaccine...We believe employee practiced good hand hygiene and wasn't handling food with bare hands." Here are the symptoms for Hepatitis A: fever and nausea, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, Jaundis or yellowing of the skin, tiredness, and dark urine.
