Idaho State Police investigating 3 forensic lab workers
BOISE, Idaho (AP) _ The Idaho State Police has launched an
investigation into three of its own employees for potential violations related to policy in the agency's forensics lab. Idaho State Police Major Kedrick Wills said all three employees have been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the internal investigation. Will said allegations are not criminal, and instead conflict with policy and standard procedure. He also says the allegations do not appear to have compromised any previous or current casework. The Lewiston Tribune reports the employees are suspected of hiding chemicals and controlled substances from audits and authorized uses. Wills says the agency has high confidence in the state lab and there is no reason to believe the issues under inquiry go beyond the three lab employees. Comments ( |
