GARDEN CITY, Idaho (AP) _ A 2-month-old kitten rescued from
being thrown around by two teenage boys has died at a Garden City
veterinary clinic.
Officials at Northwest Animal Companions' Clinic says the
kitten, named Raisin, died Monday evening.
Raisin was brought to a veterinarian by Danielle Stem, who says
she saw some boys throwing it around. The kitten had physical
injuries and chemical burns in her eyes, mouth and throat.
Over the weekend, Raisin's prognosis seemed to improve as she
opened her eyes and ate from a syringe.
Meridian police said Tuesday they had leads on some suspects who
may have been tossing the cat around near Meridian High School last
Thursday.
