MCCALL, Idaho (KBOI) "So far it's pretty neat."

"They're really cool."

From the Jurassic era to the space age, from reality to fantasy practically everything imaginable brought to life in the form of snow and ice.

"Just wandering around trying to find everything."

There's 32 local snow sculptures... Built by businesses and other organizations... Some by hobbyists, some by professionals. There were lots of different favorites, but some were more popular than others.

"My favorite is the buzz lightyear one because it's tall."

"I think the buzz lightyear one. It was huge."

"The one i really liked is the one at the mill which is buzz lightyear."

The local snow sculpting is one of the carnival's defining aspects it goes on everyday, all day, for the length of the carnival.

"This is the key thing and then we go see the parade and then there's carnival usually as well. But mostly the parade and this. Our kids think it's amazing."
