Micron names new CEO
BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) The board of directors for Micron has named President and Chief Operating Officer Mark Durcan as the company's permanent CEO.
Micron trading was halted Friday when Steve Appleton died in a plane crash. Kevin Jones, who manages stock portfolios says if the right person wasn't selected as Appleton’s replacement, there could be an impact. Jones, Harmonic Investment Advisors says "I think it's very important the person they want to have replace Steve should have a vision, be a forward thinker, not an operating guy, not a guy that comes from proctor and gamble or any place like that." Jones says Micron is one of the greatest survivors in corporate America, because Appleton was that visionary. He adds that Durcan has been an important driver of the company and stock holders shouldn't be worried. Comments ( |
