Payette man charged with robbing pharmacy
BOISE, Idaho (AP) _ Police in Payette have arrested a 51-year-old man after a weekend pharmacy robbery.
The Idaho Statesman reports Mark Shirey is charged with armed robbery of the pharmacy at the Payette Albertsons. Payette Police Chief Mark Clark says a man approached the pharmacy window at about 10 a.m. Sunday wearing a suit and tie. Clark says the man asked for the narcotic Oxycontin and told the employee he had something in his briefcase that ``he could light the place up with.'' Clark says the manager gave the suspect a large amount of the drug and he left the store. Clark says someone in the store recognized Shirey and he was arrested at his house Sunday evening. The drugs were located in his house and vehicle. Comments ( |
