Senator Crapo Votes Against Firearms Package

By Brandon Redmond

Washington D.C. ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Earlier this week the U.S. Senate voted 68–31 to move a firearms package to the senate floor for further debate. Idaho Senator Mike Crapo voted against the legislation.

Crapo stated that he voted against the bill because it further restricts the second amendment rights of law abiding Idahoans. He also said more gun control will not prevent violence.

The firearms package will continue to be debated on the Senate floor for the next several weeks. It is expected that Senators will have the opportunity to debate and amend the bill before a final vote.
