Three Vehicle Crash Sends Idaho Falls Man To The Hospital

Idaho Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Idaho State Police say 22-year old Jake Chapman of Idaho Falls was headed west on U-S 20 in a 2000 Audi A4, when his car stalled, just past the Lindsey exit.

Another driver, Angel Ruiz, 19, of Ammon, driving a 1993 Honda Civic, arrived to help jump start the car. Ruiz turned his car around so the cars could face each other.

That's when Idaho State Police say, 49-year old Brett Ballard of Idaho Falls hit the Audi in his 2003 Buick Centra. The Audi pushed into the Honda, pinning Chapman.

Chapman was taken to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

The crash is under investigation.
