Two Fallen Idaho National Guard Soldiers Remembered
The Idaho National Guard held a memorial service for two fallen soldiers killed in Iraq.
Sgt. Nathan Beyers and Spc. Nicholas Newby were killed July 7th in Baghdad.
Friends, family and fellow soldiers attended a service for them in Coeur d'Alene this afternoon.
More events are still scheduled for next week in honoring these men.
Spc. Tristan Nielsen says, "one thing i can't not mention is Nick's mustache, more proud of that thing than anything else in the world."
Maj. Robert Morris says, "Nick and Nate have given their all so that we can live in a free place, a free country."
Meanwhile, officials say Staff Sergeant Jason Rzepa is back in the United States after having both of his legs amputated.
He was injured in the same attack that killed these soldiers.
Staff Sergeant Rzepa received a purple heart medal on July 8th while in a military hospital in Iraq.
