Twin Falls, Idaho - Dennis Porter Henson, 60, born May 13, 1952 in Twin Falls, Idaho to Kenneth and Enid Porter Henson, returned to creation on July 4, 2012.
Dennis loved being outside. His greatest joy was to take something in need of care and turn it into a thing of beauty.
Dennis graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1970 and earned his Associate Degrees in both Small Engine Repair and Auto Body Repair at C.S.I. He painted cars for 25 years, built stainless steel hot rod grills for Grille Art and Don Stark’s Metal Art for 8 years. He spent the last four summers as a groundskeeper for Twin Falls City Parks and Recreation.
Dennis loved his wife, cars, archeology, conspiracy theories, chocolate pie and his beloved cat, Andy. He and Vickie were married on July 4, 1990. He was a good man and will be greatly missed.
Dennis is survived by his wife Victoria Rice Henson; his mother, Enid Henson; his brothers, Steve (Bonnie) Henson and Ross (Martine) Henson as well as many nieces, nephews and all of Vickie’s extended family. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Henson.
A graveside service for Dennis will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at the Filer Cemetery. At Dennis’ request there will be no viewing. Services are under the direction of Trent Stimpson and staff at White Mortuary, Chapel by the Park, Twin Falls.
