Jerome, Idaho - Helen M. Brown, 71, of Jerome, passed away Saturday September 29, 2012 at her Home. She was born February 27, 1941 in Ozark, Arkansas, the daughter of Vurle James Guthrie and Maude Hopkins Guthrie. She was reared and educated in Arkansas. Helen married Jackson David "J.D." Brown in Mulberry, Arkansas on February 26, 1960. She spent most of her working years as a Certified Nurse's Aide and home health worker with the elderly.
Helen is survived by her children; Rhonda (Tony Santos) Apodaca, Vicky (George) Wisk, David (Felicia) Brown and adopted children, Crystal (Nick) Spencer, Becky (Paul) Diaz, Tatiyiana Brown and Allister Brown; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters, Mary (Bob) Reith, Doris (John) Earp and Shirley (Don) Gresham; one brother, James Guthrie and many extended family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one sister, Reba.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday October 3, 2012, at the Free Will Baptist Church, 810 South Cleveland St., Jerome, Idaho, with Pastor Gene Kissinger officiating. Interment will follow in the Jerome Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Farnsworth Mortuary of Jerome.
