Burley, Idaho – Maxine Ruth Owsley Albertson, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, at the Cassia Regional Medical Center in Burley, at the age of 88.

Mom was born July 5, 1924, in Hagerman, Idaho, to Alvin Clark “Scott” and Millie Melissa Owsley. She was one of five children and was raised in Hagerman. Mom married Thomas Albertson on Aug. 22, 1940, and had 60 wonderful years together. They had four
children, Linda, Scott, Mike and Sherry. Scott (Diana) Albertson live in Lewiston, Idaho, Linda Dudley passed away last year, Mike (Shirley) Albertson live in Wendell, and Sherry (Leon) Sellers live in Rupert.

Two things mom and dad loved to do were fish and play pinocle. The family moved from Hagerman in 1957 and lived in several places before settling in Hazelton in 1959, where dad farmed. In 1963, they moved to Burley. Mom was a pink lady at Cassia Regional Medical Center for many years and later worked as a foster grandparent at the Burley elementary schools and as a senior companion at Parke View Rehabilitation and Care Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Clark and Bob; two sisters, Florance and Garnet; her daughter, Linda; and her husband, Tom. Mom is survived by her three children; and many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.

We love you mother and will miss you. Your greatest gift to us was instilling the importance of work – thank you.

At Mom's request, there will be no funeral service held. She will be cremated and placed with
her husband in the Hagerman Cemetery.

Arrangements and cremation have been entrusted to the care of the Rasmussen Funeral Home and Crematory Service of Burley.
