Burley, Idaho – Elvira Spaziano, age 78, passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2012, surrounded by her family, at Oak Creek Rehabilitation Center in Kimberly, Idaho.
Elvira was born on April 23, 1934 in Rome Italy to Mauro and Antonietta Ingavali Cosmai. She was the youngest of four children, and raised in Rome. Elvira married Agostino Spaziano, on April 25, 1959 after a 7 year courtship. They shared 23 wonderful years together. David, their first born son, was born in Italy on November 7, 1961. They joined Agostino in America in April of 1964. Their second son Angelo, was born in Burley on Feb. 25, 1967.
Elvira’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was dearly loved by her 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was a wonderful homemaker and cook. Elvira loved music, and loved to dance. Every Saturday, you would find her at George K’s, dancing to her hearts content.
Elvira was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Agostino, and two brothers.
She is survived by her children, David Spaziano and Angelo (Tami) Spaziano; one sister Pena Guzano, five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church, 1601 Oakley Ave in Burley, with the Rev. Father Julio Vicente as celebrant. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012 at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 East 16th Street in Burley, and from 9 to 9:45 Wednesday at the church.
