Twin Falls, Idaho - Maureen Hulet Rappleye, 94, of Twin Falls, passed away peacefully on Monday December 3, 2012 in Jerome. She was born June 28, 1918 in Driggs, Idaho, the daughter of Francis E. and Ella McEwen Hulet. After graduating from Wendell High School, she attended beauty school in Twin Falls. She married her sweetheart, William M. Rappleye on January 3, 1940 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Together, they owned and operated the Idaho Barber and Beauty Shop on Main Street in Twin Falls. Maureen served faithfully in many positions of responsibility in the LDS Church throughout her life, including a mission to the Boise LDS Temple.
She is survived by five children; Kathleen (Alan) Tueller, Marilynn (Tony) Jansen, Connie (Rod) Bean, Bill (Mary) Rappleye and Dean (Karen) Rappleye. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren and many extended family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her twin sister, Kathleen Francis, sisters Dorothy Pincock and Elise Hulet; her brother, Reed Hulet; her granddaughter, Jennifer Jansen and her grandson, Christian A. Tueller.
A visitation will be held Friday evening, December 7, 2012, in the Twin Falls LDS 6th Ward, 667 Harrison St., Twin Falls, where family and friends may call from 6-8 P.M.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Saturday December 8, 2012, also at 667 Harrison St., Twin Falls, with Bishop Steven Arrington officiating. A visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Twin Falls Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Farnsworth Mortuary of Jerome.
